The true story of the first Czech female writer in four television films. Seventeen-year-old Bára is a rebellious, eager and free-spirited girl. She prefers reading to baking. In addition, it attracts the interest of men. Her parents can no longer handle her, so they are looking for a groom who would marry her even without a dowry. The best part is Josef Němec, a pensioner fifteen years older. A young unbridled girl bewitched him. Josef does not even listen to his friend's warning.
